Hipster Yoga has recently become one of my favorite sites to visit lately. With a pretty straight forward design, the blog transforms common Hipster ‘poses’ into actual yoga formations.¬† Heres a sample:

1. Bring the left leg up and cross the left thigh over the right.

2. Put on glasses even though you have 20/20 vision.

3. Bring the arms out in front and cross the right arm over the left.

4. Sip PBR ironically and/or because you‚Äôre poor.

5. Hold 5-10 breaths.

I will admit that I have often used my computers in many of the ways displayed in this graphic to the displeasure of my body. Now with that said, I must stop. It is so easy to get caught up in something and just do it because it is convenient. That is one of the worse mistakes we can make, especially since we all spend a lot of our time typing away on computers.

DIY: Clean Water Filter.

With BPA this, and mercury that, everyone is scared sh*tless when it comes to what is safe to drink.¬† Well, Tony Flynn with the World Vision charity and Potters for Peace must have been tired of listening to people go crazy over it, and has formulated a way for anyone to drink clean water anywhere, filtering it with materials we have on hand. via PlantGreen

Materials
1. crushed, dry clay
2. organic material(tea leaves, cofffee grounds, or rice hulls)
3. water
4. Cow manure

Instructions
1. Mix in enough water to make a stiff biscuit-like mixture
2. Form a cylindrical pot that has one closed end
3. Dry the pot in the sun
4. Surround the pot with straw and place it in a mound of cow manure
5. Light the straw and then top up the burning manure as required.
6. Filter will be completed in less than an hour.

According to ANU:

The organic materials are burned away during the firing process and create small passages in the filter that allow water, but not pathogens, to pass. This filter effectively removes 96.4-99.8% of E. Coli in water.

Johnson & Johnson has decided to target the pop crowd with the release of their MTV Band-Aids, which¬† showcase classic artwork by Brazilian artists Carla Barth and Jo?£o Lelo.¬† Don’t get your hopes up yet, so far these will only be available in Brazil….damn damn damn. Oh well, back to the Spongebobs!
