Gmail Freebies!

December 05, 2008 By: Jazzy Category: Deals

Staying in line with the holiday season, Google is offering some free, vinyl Gmail themes stickers for you to adorn your laptop…or anything else you want Googl-fied.

Just send a self-addressed stamped envelope (along with a note if you’re so inclined) to:

Send me some Gmail stickers already
P.O. Box 391420
Mountain View, CA 94039-1420

Make sure to include enough postage to return a sticker pack via U.S. mail. It’s less than one ounce, so a standard $0.42 stamp will do if you’re in the United States; enclose an international reply coupon (IRC) if you’re outside of the U.S.

Google has released a new version of their mobile sync for Blackberry. If you are a Sync user, than you know that previously, you could only sync with your Google Calendar. Now, with the new and improved version, you can also sync your Gmail contacts and be alerted offline of events. I just downloaded it, and so far, it seems like a huge improvement.

Mail Goggles.

October 08, 2008 By: Jazzy Category: Featured

Gone are the days of drunk dialing…and we have even moved past drunk texting. My friends, we have resorted to the drunk emailing, and Gmail wants to stop you before you make an absolute fool of yourself. Mail Goggles is a new feature you can enable [only available late at night and on the weekends, go figure] that will ask you to solve some math problems before you send that ‘I’m sorry I slept with your sister tonight’ email.

Make Gmail Your Default in FF.

September 29, 2008 By: Jazzy Category: DIY, Internet

One of my pet peeves is when I am browsing the net, and need to send an in browser email, and OutLook or Mail opens up, instead of my Gmail. PROBLEM SOLVED. Follow these simple hack instructions to change that:

Go to your FireFox preferences and select Applications.

Scroll down to ‘mail to’ and select either Yahoo or Gmail.

That’s it!

Google is On the Move.

Google has updated their mobile applications by combining them into a streamlined app and making it available to everyone today. I have tested it out and actually quite like it. The application sits alone on the home screen and allows instant access to Google Cal, Maps, Search, Notebook, Gmail, Reader and much more. Learn more about it or download it for free HERE.
