Favorite 80’s song?
Has to be the Beastie Boys “Posse In Effect”. Everyone else likes “Paul Revere” and that track is dope, “Posse In Effect” is my all time favorite song of the 80’s. Licensed To Ill was one of the first cassette tapes that I ever owned.

How about the last dream you had?

I was playing one-on-one basketball with Shaquille O’Neal and I was winning. He started to get upset because I was too fast for him and he was going to beat me up after I made the winning shot. I yelled at him that he shouldn’t be picking fights with smaller people and he backed off. I woke up with my heart beating really fast because I was really scared he was going to kick my ass.

Worst date you’ve been on?
Had to be this double date that I went on with my friend. She had just gotten divorced and she hated all men. Plus, it was a torrential rain that night and it was unsafe to drive, so I had to endure her bitterness for the entire night.

Hands down best internet experience?
When Okayplayer.com featured one of the first videos I ever did on their site. It was the video for “The Corner” (Malcolm X Remix) for Ro Blvd. way back in 2006.

Do The Right Thing.

WeeklyDrop blessed us with a preview of the new Air Jordan 1’s that were inspired by 20 year anniversary of the Spike Lee joint, Do The Right Thing. There will be two colors available [metallic red or green], my preference being the red. Jordan Brand will also drop clothing matching the DTRT Jordan 1, some from the original movie. Releasing July 2009.

Dan Meth put together what he likes to refer to as the ‘Trilogy Meter,’ rating movie trilogies based on his enjoyment. Do you agree?

Hope.

If you watch movies or television then I am almost certain you have heard her music, since Hope has been featured in everything from Soul Food , to P.S. I Love You and most recently MTV’s “The City.” However, it isn’t her licensing game that puts her on my radar, rather than her breakthrough self titled album. Drawing inspiration from Sade and a musically inclined family, you can hear her growth in songs. Hope has a way of touching your soul on every track she lays down.

Oprah Funds Another School

This one is right here on our homeland! The Ron Clark Academy, located in Chicago’s inner city, was most recently in the spotlight for the above YouTube. While the school focuses on arts and academia, and costs up to 14k to educate each child, parents pay a minimal fee. A majority of the students come from low-income homes and the difference is picked up by donors. Oprah threw her hat in the donor ring, giving 365,000 to the school, enough to fund the education of 26 children.

Disney Cuts Corners.

According to Slightly Warped, during the old days, Disney would cut corners by recycling animation. Tsk, tsk Disney.
