COMMON Gallery in Harajuku, Tokyo just wrapped up their nine day show entitled  “IKONOCLYSM” with works by artist Rostarr. The gallery was decked with canvas and sculptures by the artist, May 11th- May 20th. Roman Kimin Yang, aka Rostarr,  Brooklyn based artist,  is known for his calligraphy styled pieces and street like feel.

Leaving me with a lifetime of memories, author and illustrator of Where the Wild Things Are – Maurice Sendak, recently passed away.  Such an epic artist deserves an even more epic send off, which The New York Times was glad to provide.  Teaming up with artists Geoff McFetridge and Gary Taxali, as well as cartoonist Art Spiegleman, this “Thanks, Maurice” collection is dedicated to his memory.

Everyone’s favorite Neptune never stops creating. This fall we can expect an introspective a look at his life when his book, Pharrell: Places and Spaces I’ve Been hits stores. Per the BBC Blog

This is a coffee table style book which will feature conversations between Pharrell and some friends who have inspired him such as Anna Wintour, Nigo, Buzz Aldrin, Takashi Murakami, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Hans Zimmer, Ambra Medda, Chad & Shae. The rest of the book will contain photos which cover most of Pharrell’s career. The book will be released October 16th and will retail for $55. Multiple colored cover options will be available as well as a limited edition version ($250) which will include something special which we won’t unveil until closer to the release date.
