New York’s  Pace Prints recently hosted an exhibit filled with exciting pieces from one of one of the greatest artists of all time – Keith Haring.  Known for his timeless line art prints and artistic creations, Haring uses aluminum, wood, concrete and terracotta to create this collection of work.

Since the opening of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter last year at Universal Studios Florida, it has been a huge success. Potter fans have visited in droves, flying in on broom sticks from all over to experience what lies in Potter Land. Obviously the attraction is a great success as is anything with Harry Potter stamped on it and it only makes sense to bring the attraction to Universal’s Hollywood location. With an estimated opening for 2016,  the Universal Hollywood location will include a replica of the Hogsmeade Village and Hogwarts Castle, along with the Forbidden Journey ride. With space limited at the Hollywood location some attractions may be vetoed and new attractions that fit the layout will be added. So far reports have indicated Water World and Terminator 3D would most likely be the ones replaced with a Harry Potter theme. No official details have been released, but by the sound of things to come Potters lovers have a lot to look forward to. Me on the other had am very excited about the Butterbeer, a “frothy shortbread and butterscotch flavored drink” that is said to be apart of the Harry Potter experience coming to Universal Hollywood!

San Francisco based contemporary artist Andrew Schoultz is most known for using his fine arts training to complete the most beautifully, immaculate street murals that one has ever seen.  During this year’s Art Basel, Schoultz gives Primary Flight a makeover with this detailed mural.  Each square inch was shown special attention, from the individual bricks down to the custom curb stops.  Check out the rest of the pics below.

This past Saturday my four year old son, Sevyn, hosted his very first party!  Sponsored by MegaBloks, this gathering of nerdettes and nerdudes was a blast – filled with treats, games and billions of blocks that kept the kids busy for hours! While the kids were at play, so were the mommies – toasting glasses of Moscato to finally finding the perfect gift for their little ones – MegaBloks!

The Animal theme was a hit, serving pizza and cupcakes on zebra print tableware, while building the 95 Piece MegaBloks Farm. The set-up of the device is fairly easy however,I’ll be honest – it can be a bit tedious.  BUT, after scrolling through the various choices, completing the steps of all your programs, Pandora ect, and finding some speakers to connect to, you’re all set.  The connectivity is great, with only a few static moments or buffering.  You can set a number of different stations for each one of the supported channels, and start listening in under a minute.

Just like with every device, there are the pros and cons.  In the age of the smartphone, it is far more practical to connect your own handheld device to a dock or simply stick headphones in and go.  However, if you are a text junkie and addicted to apps, you may not want to be inconvenienced with switching back and forth between apps or always having to have your phone occupied.  It is a genuine addition to any home or office space – something stationary, like a t.v.

With the holiday’s coming up, I could easily see this being a perfect gift for your parents or someone with a no so busy lifestyle. Make the purchase, add their personal preferences, and introduce them to a lifetime of easy relaxation.

I love holiday shopping. It’s fun. If I could, I would be a personal shopper. Gifts are my thing. I love finding interesting and thoughtful buys for the people I love. But every now and then you come across a gift so outrageous you bust into instantaneous side-eye.

While checking out the gift finder on Anthropologie I came across the Vintage Books Boxed Set, $2175. Details read:

A one-of-a-kind set in a custom-made case, curated by Kinsey Marable, who left his job as an investment banker to deal with a more exotic commodity: rare and out-of-print books. His passion to create distinctive libraries led him to select these books; the mahogany-stained Baltic birch bookshelf is custom built for the custom collection. The holiday season is all about the hustle, don’t get caught out there!
