ReWired for Life is a program Sonja Sohn also know as The Wire’s Kima, conceived to help youth age 14 to 21 who could easily be characters on the show she once starred on. They are the people society throws away and considers hopeless. The young adults and teens that have made bad decisions, been caught up in circumstance and are at high risk of getting stuck in the system. The Washington Post takes an in-depth look at Sohn’s passion to help empower, inspire and help these Baltimore kids through a program that teaches life skills, violence prevention and self-esteem building program that uses media, resource activities, and the arts as tools for personal transformation.

In its 23^rd season, “The Simpsons” looks to break another world record. On February 8, “The Simpsons” superfans will come together in Los Angeles at Hollywood & Highland for the “Ultimate Fan Marathon Challenge”. Fans will come together for this challenge to watch every episode of “The Simpsons”. The 500^th episode will air on Sunday, February 19^th and end the competition. The winner will take home over $10,000 and “The Simpsons” special merchandise.

The current Guinness World Record for longest continuous TV viewing is 86 hours, 6 minutes and 41 seconds. This marathon looks to top that record. “The Simpsons” currently hold several records including longest running animated series, longest running sitcom and most Emmy Awards won for an animated series.

I sat down and plugged in to Sunday’s premiere of ABC’s storybook-inspired “Once Upon a Time.” I love a good fairytale twist and no one can blow your mind quite like the writers behind cult favorite “Lost.” I wasn’t the only one tuning in, the first episode drew in 12.8 million.

But the series already has some competition. Friday, NBC brings it with “Grimm,” a drama inspired by Grimm’s Fairy Tales. It takes place in Portland and follows Detective Nick Burkhardt a descendant of elite criminal profilers known as “Grimms,” charged with keeping balance between humanity and the mythological creatures of the world. While reading WWD the other day, I couldn’t help but notice a blurb on Miss Piggy. Our favorite muppet drama queen is fashion’s it-girl. We all know Disney is dropping a new “Muppets” movie (Nov. 23) and Piggy is playing the editor of French Vogue, but her glam is going ham.
