Hulu Plus: $10/Month for iPhone, iPad and TV Viewing

HULU is now available for the iPhone, iPad and TV Viewing.

The talk of Hulu having a paid subscription have been at a fever pitch lately, and it looks like this is the reason why. For $10 buck a month you will be able to stream HD versions of the current seasons of shows such as Glee, Community, The Office and 30 Rock as well as the entire back library of many other.

The system will work over Wifi or 3g and it will work on your iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch, and your TV. The service will be supported on Samsung, Vizio and Sony TVs and Blu-ray players, and will be supported on the PS3 “soon” and the Xbox 360 in “early 2011.”

The bad news, you will still have to sit through ads. Talk about double dipping!

T-Mobile Confirms Free Phone Offer for Family Plans this Saturday

We mentioned it last week, and now it looks like T-Mobile has come on out and made it official. What better than getting Dad something free on Father’s Day. Remember that there is a catch though, The offer is only available by switching to a family plan or adding another line to your existing family plans. T-Mobile may not have the best phone line-up, but they do have a few solid models like the HD2, MyTouch 3G Slide, and the Blackberry Curve that I am sure Dad (or you) would love.

Press Release:

T-Mobile Celebrates Dads with Unprecedented, One-Day-Only

Every Phone Free Event on Sat., June 19

T-Mobile Declares “No More Ties for Dad” for Father’s Day;
New Poll Notes Most Dads Would Trade-in Every Tie in Their Closet for a New Mobile Phone

BELLEVUE, Wash. – June 15, 2010 – To help celebrate dad, T-Mobile USA, Inc. today announces the mother of all Father’s Day offers: on Sat., June 19, for one day only, every phone in every T-Mobile store is free.* This first-of-its-kind promotion will “untie” families from giving dad the traditional, same-old gift, instead offering him something he craves – a new smartphone.

T-Mobile will break the traditional gift-giving mold by offering every phone in every store for free. This Saturday, starting at 8 a.m., simply visit a T-Mobile retail store and switch to any family plan, or add a new line to an existing family plan, and walk out of the store with a new phone for every new line with a two-year agreement – customer’s choice – while supplies last.

“For this very special day celebrating dad and the entire family, T-Mobile is thrilled to offer an industry-first promotion that helps families stay connected,” said Adrian Hurditch, vice president of marketing, T-Mobile USA. “This unprecedented event champions dad and helps families stick together with the latest phones – all for free.”

With affordable unlimited calling, texting and data family plans, T-Mobile is giving our most connected customers options that take advantage of the latest devices. With the Father’s Day promotion, dads can choose from a selection of 30 devices, no phones excluded, including a variety of brands such as HTC, Motorola, Nokia, RIM, Samsung, SonyEricsson, and Sharp. All phones will be available while supplies last, so customers are encouraged to arrive early to stores to secure the latest and most popular new devices, including the most recently launched smartphones from T-Mobile:

· myTouch 3G Slide™: Combines a slide-out QWERTY keyboard with an incredibly crisp, high-performance touch screen powered by the latest Android™ software. The device hosts unique new features that will help dads connect more easily, more quickly and more often, including the Faves Gallery™, myModes and Genius Button™.

· HTC HD2: Offering the largest touch screen size on a smartphone in the U.S., this slim and sleek device comes ready with a blazing-fast processor and access to millions of eBooks, movies, television programs and more, keeping dad constantly entertained.

· Garminfone™: For the adventurous dad, this new Android™-powered smartphone is fully-integrated with Garmin’s premium navigation experience and includes voice-guided and on-screen directions, real-time traffic, weather, and gas price updates.

Free Wi-Fi @ McDonald’s Starts Now

Free Wi-Fi @ McDonald’s Starts Now

Picture 1

We mentioned that Good ‘ole McDonoald’s would be offering free Wi-Fi at access at 11,500 of its 14,000 U.S. locations. Well that time is now. Actually, it started on January 15th. They used to charge $2.95 for 2 hours. Good way to get customers in the door. I can see this coming in handy if you need to hop on really quick and have some delicious frys in the process.

T-Mobile Offering BOGO on ALL Smartphones Until December 20

T-Mobile Offering BOGO on ALL Smartphones Until December 20

The Boy Genius has a leak to some information about a BOGO going on at T-Mobile. It is said to be on ALL smartphones. However, there have been issues in certain regions getting the deal. From BGR:

For example, T-Mobile retail stores in NYC are definitely offering this promotion, but stores in L.A. are not. However, some retail stores said they’re always willing to price match competitors and other T-Mobile locations. All you need is proof that other retail stores are offering this promotion because some stores haven’t heard of this, and that shouldn’t be too difficult.

Double Twist New Release With Amazon Support

Double Twist New Release With Amazon Support

doubleTwist

I am pretty in love with Double Twist by DVD Jon. The program is the ultimate alternate to iTunes. Now only that, it syncs with practically ANY device. Half the reason iTunes is so huge is because everyone felt they had to get an iPod to get any sort of decent music management happening. Now it is about spreading the word.

With the inclusion of the Amazon music store, doubleTwist just raised its stock. Just the fact alone that Amazon’s music is often cheaper than iTunes is reason enough to switch. The DT interface is simplified version of  iTunes so the learning curve is almost non-existent. I would bet that after messing around in it for a minute or so, you would have a good grasp of how everything works.

As an added bonus, the latest release of DT supports the Nexus One Google Phone. The imaginary/next/vaporware/ phone of the moment.
