There are so many different combinations of cell phone plans to choose from that it sometime can get confusing. Hell I a self confessed nerd, and I get confused. I can imagine how complicated it is for someone that has a less technical slant on life. Well to help get you over that hump, BillShrink put together this really cool graphic that lays out the plans. The chart does a great job of comparing plans feature for feature.

We mentioned that Good ‘ole McDonoald’s would be offering free Wi-Fi at access at 11,500 of its 14,000 U.S. locations. Well that time is now. Actually, it started on January 15th. They used to charge $2.95 for 2 hours. Good way to get customers in the door. I can see this coming in handy if you need to hop on really quick and have some delicious frys in the process.

The Boy Genius has a leak to some information about a BOGO going on at T-Mobile. It is said to be on ALL smartphones. However, there have been issues in certain regions getting the deal. From BGR:
For example, T-Mobile retail stores in NYC are definitely offering this promotion, but stores in L.A. are not. However, some retail stores said they’re always willing to price match competitors and other T-Mobile locations. All you need is proof that other retail stores are offering this promotion because some stores haven’t heard of this, and that shouldn’t be too difficult.

I am pretty in love with Double Twist by DVD Jon. The program is the ultimate alternate to iTunes. Now only that, it syncs with practically ANY device. Half the reason iTunes is so huge is because everyone felt they had to get an iPod to get any sort of decent music management happening. Now it is about spreading the word.
With the inclusion of the Amazon music store, doubleTwist just raised its stock. Just the fact alone that Amazon’s music is often cheaper than iTunes is reason enough to switch. The DT interface is simplified version of iTunes so the learning curve is almost non-existent. I would bet that after messing around in it for a minute or so, you would have a good grasp of how everything works.
As an added bonus, the latest release of DT supports the Nexus One Google Phone. The imaginary/next/vaporware/ phone of the moment.

If you are in the market for an iPod Nano, it looks like now is the time to get one. Starting Saturday at 8 a.m., Walmart will be selling (in-store only) the 8gb iPod Nano for $145 and they are going to throw in a $50 iTunes gift card. That is a good deal. Especially considering the Nano itself usually goes for $150.

For those you who have never heard of WOOT.COM, it is a site that offers one random/most electronic item a day at an unbelievable price. Some are new, most refurbished, but nonetheless, a great deal. Apparently no one wants the bluetooth headset that is up because it has been there forever!
TODAY MARKS ANOTHER WOOT OFF! Basically, they are getting rid of a bunch of stuff. Some cool, some not so cool. So drop by and see what you can find. But you better hurry, the good stuff sells out pretty quickly. Oh yeah, they also only do one item at a time during the woot off, but they move on as soon as they have sold a certain number of them. Maybe they will have an iPod Touch for $3. Probably not….

It was only a matter of time. Last week Verizon released the Droid Eris, a rebranded HTC Hero, for $99 and it was only a matter of time before Sprint jumped on the ball and matched their pricing. I mean they could have left it at $180, but that would just be stupid. Right?

The new standard in Blackberry is now available on T-Mobile for $200 with contract, and $449 without. I have been thinking about grabbing one for a while now, and think I just might go ahead and make it happen. I will let you know how it goes. In the meantime, there are reviews on the phone here, here, and here.
Update: Looks like AT&T will have it available on Sunday.
Double Update: If you buy the Bold at Walmart between 11/14 and 11/20, you can get a $100 gift card in the mail. However, it does take 4-6 weeks to get the card.
