After opening last October, a trip to Legoland Florida might be the perfect trip this year for the creative kid in us all. The newest amusement park in Florida has huge plans for their first year. So before you pack your suitcase and head towards Tampa, check out some of the highlights at Legoland.
This 150 acre of oasis of building blocks features over 50 rides and attractions highlighting each series of Legos from Duplo to Technic. This summer, the Legoland Water Park opens and you will love the Build-A-Raft ride. You can even save a little bit on the already low admission prices (via Legoland) when you purchase online.
In March, there will be a celebration of Lego Friends, the newest line of Legos designed for girls. If you want to spend your Independence Day at Lego Land, check out Red, Brick, Boom for a VERY-Lego fireworks display. (If you can’t make this fireworks display, they will do it again for New Year’s Eve.) In October, there will be a Legoland Florida Birthday and Halloween celebrations. And for Christmas, you can see a 270,000 brick Christmas tree display.
The park is open Thursday – Monday. There are rides for the smallest ones in the family. And Legoland recycles!

Wow. I have been a huge fan of Lego since I was about 7. Would love to visit this!
