ReWired for Life is a program Sonja Sohn also know as The Wire’s Kima, conceived to help youth age 14 to 21 who could easily be characters on the show she once starred on. They are the people society throws away and considers hopeless. The young adults and teens that have made bad decisions, been caught up in circumstance and are at high risk of getting stuck in the system. The Washington Post takes an in-depth look at Sohn’s passion to help empower, inspire and help these Baltimore kids through a program that teaches life skills, violence prevention and self-esteem building program that uses media, resource activities, and the arts as tools for personal transformation.
