Recently Instagram announced a change in privacy policies that has many Instagram user angry and confused. It takes a little bit of time and knowledge to properly read license agreements and most Instagram users just scroll right to the bottom and hit that lovely checkbox to sign away rights they don’t know a company is taking.

Users were promoting the concept that Instagram would be selling people’s “personal” photos for other companies to use. This caused an instant uproar for users who feel they own the rights to their own pictures. In my personal opinion, once you post something online, you lose every right to it. Anywho, check out what the owner of Instagram has to say about all of this.

You are right that once you post something online there would be a possibility of losing your privacy but what's the use of the "private" and "public" option in your account? I understand that if your account is in public setting

obviously people want their account or pictures to be seen in public on the other hand if the account is in private setting it means that some people want to have some privacy so it is not right to underestimate peoples' privacy. Instagram really breaks their users' trust.
