Not even a month after I posted the original article about Coca-Cola switching up their traditional holiday cans to help raise funds for the Arctic habitat, the cans are being pulled. The Arctic white can promotion was set to run until February, however with an uproar of customer complaints they have decided to stop the production. Consumers complained of accidentally drinking the white canned Coke when they had intentions of drinking Diet Coke; which is more similar in color. Not ignoring consumers, Coca-Cola has opted to distribute a red version to cease confusion. The company will use the new red cans to raise money for the Arctic Habitat until the scheduled end date in February.
A long term saying stands valid, “If is not broken don’t try and fix it”.
