A new trend has emerged in the art world, with the introduction of these carved leaves.¬†¬† Using an extreme amount of patience and precision, the artist scrapes off the leaf’s outer layers, revealing its near transparent surface.¬† The preferred leaves of choice are coveted leaves of a Chinar tree.¬† If you have never seen one, it’s probably because they are native to India [although, you could've fooled me...they look just like Maple leaves].¬† Check out some of my fav’s, or these rest here.
