Lennon Gets Fingered

Right before they were to go on auction, a set of John Lennon’s fingerprints was seized by the FBI.¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†
The prints were originally taken in 1970, when Lennon was suspected of anti-war activity¬† The¬† feds¬†were worried whether the prints were part of Lennon’s file and had been missing. The auctioneers didn’t get their concern.

“This great icon has been deceased for 30 years,” said Peter Siegel, co-founder of Gotta Have It, the company auctioning the card. “This is not a national threat.”
