AT&T BlackBerry Torch 9800, $199 with Two-Year Contract, Available August 12th

The news hit the web like a tsunami this morning, and now we have the vital information. The new Blackberry Torch 9800 will be hitting AT&T on August 12th for $199. Of course that is considering you sign a two year contract. With the iPhone 4 priced at $199, you have some very interesting decisions to make. The specs are as follows:

  • 5 megapixel camera with flash
  • Full QWERTY on a portrait slide
  • 802.11n support
  • BlackBerry 6 (New OS)
  • 4GB of onboard storage and a 4GB microSD card in the box
  • 512MB each of ROM and RAM
  • Quadband 3G radio that’ll travel well around the globe
  • A 480 x 360 touchscreen display
  • Optical trackpad
  • New Media Sync which allows you to sync your media library right over WiFi
