Three Apples

In honor of Hello Kitty’s 35th Anniversary SANRIO is hosting the ‘Three Apples’ exhibition running from Oct. 23 РNov. 15 at Royal/T (8910 Washington Blvd in Culver City. If I lived in California, North or South, I would be there celebrating the cutest kitty on the planet.

And of course, HK isn’t going to celebrate her birthday without giving back. SANRIO teamed up with L.A. Works a nonprofit, volunteer action center that creates and implements hands-on community service projects throughout the greater Los Angeles area. The two will collaborate on events to teach art appreciation to children and teens from some of the 250+ community agencies that partner with L.A. Works. And a portion of the proceeds from the HK Art Show will go to the nonprofit.

As for the 35th Anniversary itself? It’s not just a weekend, or a week. It’s a few weeks of feline fun. Guests get to sample Hello Kitty shaped food, craft works of art and purchase products at the Sanrio Pop-Up shop. There will even be a Hello Kitty Art Show (Think Kozik and Tara McPherson), Fashion Show and a super swag bag any HK fan is sure to want.
