Sure, you’ve all heard of the Snuggie, the wearable blanket that put the idea on the map.¬† But…the big question is, how many of you have heard of the Slanket?¬† If you haven’t, be glad you stumbled upon this post, because the Slanket is guaranteed to make you feel like you are wearing the couture version of wearable blankets.
The Slanket is a gigantic fleece blanket with sleeves.¬† While the Snuggie is also made of fleece, it is not nearly as thick or cozy as the Slanket.¬† Another big difference are the large, loose sleeves that are designed so you don’t feel like you’re wearing the blanket.¬† It is also significantly larger than the Snuggie, measuring in at¬† 60″W x 95″L.¬† The Slanket sent me a full sized as well as a kids Slanket to try out, and let me tell you, I was not disappointed.¬† It was way thicker than some of the Snuggies I have seen, even thicker than some of the blankets I have in my home.¬† The arm holes were also huge, and long enough for my husband who is tall and lanky.¬† My son, who has been begging me for a Snuggie [for those cold, video gaming nights] loves the Slanket, with the exception of it’s length.¬† He is seven, so the length is still a little long for him, but as a mom I am excited about it’s grow-a-bility.
It also comes in a slew of colors, as well as silhouettes.¬† If you are not interested in the typical Slanket, or simply want a bit more variety, there is also the smaller/compact Travel Slanket, the Kids Slanket and the Siamese Slanket [best when used with two people]. The awesome thing about the Kids Slanket is that it is equally as long, with shorter arm lengths…so you don’t sacrifice any of the warmth factor as they grow.
