Humanity and Pets Partnered Through the Years Act is a bill introduced by Rep. Thaddeus McCotter, (R-Mich). If passed, it would allow pet owners to deduct up to $3,500 for pet-care expenses.
That’s right. In a HAPPY political climate, people could write off pet food, expensive vet bills and such. It’s stirring quite the controversy at the dog park. Some say owning a pet is a luxury and not a tax break. While others argue a bill like this could help save thousands of pets from losing their homes and lives in the recession.
What say you?
