Co-founder Alysa Binder decided after one commercial flight that there had to be a better option for pets to travel. That is when she came up with the idea of the Pet Airway, a travel option for pets.
Carriers will replace seats in the main cabin, and the pets will be escorted to the plane by attendants that will check on the animals every 15 minutes during flight. The pets are also given pre-boarding walks and bathroom breaks.
An average cross country flight will take roughly 24 hours, since there will be an overnight stop for playtime, restful sleep and dinner.
