National Donut Day

In France, it’s the beignet. In Mexico, it’s the churro. But in America, it’s the good old donut. Canada has more donut shops than any where else in the world, but America gets it in with more than 10 billion donuts a year. A billi, a billi, a billi.

Glazed, jelly, with sprinkles…we do it all. And today is National Donut Day, so get your free on. Check your local donut shops for specials, but you know Cracky Creme, er, I mean Krispy Kreme has a free donut for you. Dunkin Donuts is giving away one with purchase of a drink. What’s your favorite holey pastry?
