Mac OSX Easter Egg – Tetris!

tetris

Maybe it’s just me, but I love finding Easter Eggs in the most unusual places…to find out how to find the Tetris Egg, do the following:

1. Open the finder
2. Open Applications
3. Open Utilities
4. Open Terminal
5. type “emacs”; click Enter
6. Press ESC + X at the same time
7. Type “tetris”; click Enter
8. Play Tetris! Use the arrow keys to move and rotate the blocks, and press the space to make the blocks fall.

It's really narrow and the shapes are all out of whack – anyone know why?

Because it's done with ASCII art only instead of images, so it's hard to do any other thing.

You could double the characters up. Each brick segment being made out of two characters. I know it would take more work but not that much more and would make it much more playable. Sadly I am not a Unix genius and have no idea on how to do that.
