Originally designed by Alex Aranovich in 2002, it was manufactured and distributed worldwide, under license by 2K T-shirts from 2003-2005… And now the original “I Glove MJ” tee is back, re-released by the original artist, Alex Aranovich.
Since creating the design in 2002, Alex Aranovich has served as Senior Art Director at Zoo York, and as an Art Director at Studio Number One in Los Angeles. Most recently, he has illustrated automobiles for Lexus magazine, and created identities for brands such as Flight Club, Hall of Fame Ltd, SLBarbier, and Vacation Vinyl.
These shirts have been seen on the likes of Quest Love, an infamous Nike collector/employee who goes by the name RetroKid and Maryss from the Beat Freaks [to name a few]. Maryss holds a special place in my heart, as she had been selected to be one of the backup dancers for Michael Jackson’s UK tour dates.
