Have you ever wanted to send a gift, but just didn’t know what would be appropriate?¬† Or how about get bogged down at work and forget about the pot luck that you volunteered dessert for?¬† Well, Hilton’s Gourmet Bakery has a solution for you!¬† Check out their Celebration in a Box kit, completely filled with everything you need to get the party started.¬† Before we go into the goodies of the kit, let me tell you about Andy and his Award Winning Shop.
Hilton’s Gourmet Bakery was founded by a passionate Pastry Chef by the name of Andy who is a third generation baker.¬† Cooking up everything from artisan cakes, pies, cookies, brownies, quick breads, and select chocolate confectionaries, their shop has won tons of awards ranging from State Fairs to National Pie Championships in the Professional Division.
Back to the good stuff.
Hilton’s Gourmet Bakery sent me one of their Celebration Boxes to try out, and I was not disappointed.¬† While it looks like a typical package when arriving, when you open it up, it is beautifully packaged, not only visually appealing but packed to preserve maximum freshness for the product.
Inside the box, there were four types of cookies; Decadent Four Chocolate Chip, Sometimes You Feel Like a Nut Coconut Cookies, White Chocolate Macadamia Nuts and Award Winning Peanut Butter. There was also all of the decorations and party favors you need to celebrate!
Each cookie flavor came individually wrapped in a vacuum sealed package, and then completely covered in bubble wrap.¬† After opening the first package, I was nervous to see how well they held up during the travel from Florida to California…I shouldn’t have been shocked, but I was.
Not only were the cookies perfectly in tact, but they were super moist [especially the Coconut cookies].  Each cookie pack has the name and ingredients printed on a label that is safely inserted inside of the package, so you know exactly what you are getting. Out of the four, I would have to say that the  Sometimes You Feel Like a Nut Coconut Cookies are my favorite.  They were extra chewy and moist, with half dipped in chocolate and then dusted with crushed nuts.  I wrote my name on the bag just in case anyone in this house got any funny ideas.
