ClickFree has been busy this year, with tons of new releases that are perfect for any tech geek out there.¬† The beauty of the ClickFree line is that you don’t have to be uber saavy to work their gadgets, they are simple to navigate as well as portable and straight forward in design.¬† One of their newest releases, the ClickFree Transformer SE is a multi functional device, which allows for some of the following:

  • Turn any USB Hard Drive into the Clickfree Automatic Backup Solution, using available free space on the drive.
  • Turn any iPod or iPhone into the Clickfree Automatic Backup Solution, using available free space
  • Import Music and Play lists from your iPod/iPhone to any computer – great for upgrading to a new PC or Mac
  • Use with multiple Hard Drives, iPods, and iPhones – each an independent backup.
  • Clickfree Award Winning Smart Backup Technology automatically backs up hundreds of file types, organizes them, and makes it easy to restore or transfer to new computers, even when upgrading Windows operating systems. You can also transfer files easily from PC to Mac.
  • Backs up Multiple Computers

ClickFree sent us over a Transformer SE to try out, and I am in love.¬† The device itself is less than 2 inches big, with a fairly short USB connection.¬† While the main draw for the SE is the fact that it cane be used as a backup solution, I have to admit, the thing that caught my eye was ease of sharing iPod content.¬† There have been so many times I’ve wanted to share pictures or albums, yet can’t because my iPod isn’t synced with a friend’s computer.

BackUp Function

I generally avoid backing up because it takes so much time.¬† Yes, I am frugal, so I don’t pay for any of the Apple back up services.¬† With the Transformer, it was almost fun to backup.¬† All I had to do was connect the Transformer to my MacBook, and then connect it to my external and CLICK.¬† All of my files were stored on the external, with nothing overwritten or duplicated.¬† If you don’t have an external, you can also back up the free space on your iPod, however, my iPod is almost completely full, so it couldn’t complete the backup.

iPod Importing

Since I just upgraded, most of my music is located on my external or my husband’s computer.¬† I plugged in my iPod, hooked it up to my husband’s PC [yes, he is still on a PC, no, he has no intention of switching] and was swapping files back and forth within seconds.¬† I was able to share pictures from my iPod onto his desktop, as well as move music from his collection to my device.

If you aren’t an avid music sharer, don’t worry.¬† The Transformer SE can find and backup over 400 file types, including video, Powerpoints, Art, Email, Tax Returns, Offline Websites etc.¬† See, there is something for everybody.

ClickFree wants to make your Xmas merry!¬† They will be giving away 3 Transformer SE’s, each worth $89!

The feature I like best is the easy back up. I hate doing it because it takes forever and I know it sometimes duplicates instead of only backing up changes.

I learn that my opinions course more generously on paper. Practicing the skills I’ve learned in this post will most definitely improve my writing. I will urge this blog to my boss and indicate that each one in my field learn it. I had doubts about a balance piece of writing reading, but I was proven wrong. The evaluations were nice, helpful, and particular.
