Wi-Fi in the Whip

Now you don’t have to look for a Wi-Fi hot spot. More and more automakers are making your car the hot spot. And Ford does not plan on being left out.

It’s uncertain which models will offer connectivity, but in 2010 Ford plans to upgrade its line with a Sync in-car entertainment and information system that will use a USB mobile broadband modem to establish a secure wireless connection capable of supporting several devices simultaneously. Now you don’t have to worry about backseat drivers, shut them up with some surfing. Get some shopping done. Watch a movie. Or just watch as the webosphere becomes us.
