Circuit City’s Firedog folk never really could rump with Best Buy’s Geek Squad. But this winter, Wal-Mart is brewing up some potential competition for the techies at Best Buy.
The mega store is partnering with N.E.W. Customer Service Companies
to offer in-home installation to customers buying anything from a wireless router to a home theatre system. Wally World intends to offer the services on prepaid cards ranging from $99 to $399 in value, and each install includes a consultation and tutorial. Sounds like a deal, but it just doesn’t seem to eff wit the Geeks.
