Looks like Apogee is really going after the independent music/film market. Their new ONE device is perfect for the singer songwriter, or the producer artist that keeps pretty much everything within the box. It features a USB connection to your Mac and offers 24 bit audio at sample rates of 44.1 kHz or 48 kHz. With a footprint slightly larger than an iPhone, ONE’s compact size is definitely travel friendly.
Because it was designed for the MAC, it works seemelesssly with Logic, Garageband, and Final Cut. There is a mic inside that uses Apogee’s Tuned Aperture Microphone™ Technology, a world-class mic preamp, and instrument input, and studio quality headphone and speaker output. They beleive in mic that is included and actually offer an options mic stand to compliment the device.
Priced at $249, the ONE will be available in July.
