Jazz, a regional carrier in Canada has elected to remove life vest from it plans in order to save on weight and fuel cost. Now before you get all upset and start breathing heavy, the government regulations in Canada allow a carrier to use floatation devices a.k.a. seat cushions instead of life vest as long as the flight does not go more than 50 nautical miles of shore.
